Kristine Burke, MD is the co-founder of the True Health Center for Functional Medicine in El Dorado Hills, CA. She specializes in. Inflammology, finding the root causes of the underlying inflammation that we now know drives many health issues. She has developed a reputation as an expert in unraveling complex chronic disease and one of her particular passions is Type 2 Diabetes reversal.” As the medical director for Help Your Diabetes Sacramento, she has successfully guided the complete clinical reversal of Diabetes in over 75% of the program’s participants. She also teaches Functional Medicine at Loma Linda University School of Medicine and is board certified in Family Medicine, Sports Medicine, and a Certified Functional Medicine Practitioner as well as board eligible in Integrative Medicine.
Mark Holthouse, MD is the co-founder of the True Health Center for Functional Medicine in El Dorado Hills, CA. He specializes in Inflammology with a particular passion for Cardiovascular disease reversal and Men’s Health. Dr Holthouse is well-known as an expert and leader in the Functional Medicine community. He is part of the Institute for Functional Medicine teaching faculty and is an Assistant Clinical Professor at Loma Linda University School of Medicine where he teaches Functional Medicine. He is board certified in Integrative Medicine, Family Medicine, and was a member of the first group of physicians ever to be certified in Functional Medicine by IFM.
Nicole Shorrock, MD is the medical director of Marshall Whole Child Health, a Functional and Integrative Pediatrics practice in El Dorado Hills, CA. Dr. Shorrock is highly regarded for her success in the integration of traditional with functional medicine—where she focuses on identifying and treating the root causes of illness through balancing nutrition and lifestyle. She is board certified in Pediatrics, Board Eligible in Integrative Medicine, and in process for IFM certification. She fulfills her desire to teach by mentoring pediatric medical residents in learning Functional Medicine through clinical clerkship at her practice.
